Re-introducing, been gone for a while

Post by O2Annie »

So happy to have stumbled (back) upon this great group!
I was "Fanner" on the Old house Web and the Wavy glass forum, not a super active member but I popped in and out.

Short background: I live in a Queen Anne style home built in 1904.We reside in western Wisconsin, have 5 kids ranging in age from 8-16, 2 mutts, a cat and a gecko :) Over the past ?7? years I have been slowly restoring all of our original double hung windows. Happily we are more than half way through (about 30 sash down) - yay! - with about 24 sash left to go.
Amongst the refurbishing and refreshing projects my goal is to maintain as much of the original features in this old house as possible.
We are fortunate that the house has most of its original light fixtures, no painted woodwork, the original hardwood floors are intact and the original cedar siding is present; in addition to the original pulley and weight sash.

So that is the short of it - now that the intro is over I will get to posting my questions and woes in the appropriate threads ;-)

Looking forward to this wealth of knowledge and experience once again!

Formerly "Fanner",
Ann

O2Annie (Fanner) welcome back, I remember you, and I think your far to modest in your contributions to past sites. You will remember a lot of folks from the past, and lots of new ones. No need to tell you, we live on pics here(as on the other sites). Once again welcome back.

Welcome back! I remember you too. I was never an active member of the old sites, but I read every day so I feel like I really know everyone and keep forgetting that they don't know me!
