Re: Where to put a 1/2 bath?
For my leg length the minimum interior size for a water closet (toilet and small sink) is something like 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 if the door is on the short side opposite the toilet bowl, 4 feet if the door is on one of the long sides. 3 feet wide doesn't hurt either, especially if you might get more volumin...

Re: Hullo from the "there be dragons here" area of MA
Why would you want to waive the property inspection? Granted an inspection can't reveal everything wrong with the property but it sure can give a good idea of things that are obviously wrong & if the inspector is good, also give you an idea the anticipated costs to make repairs. We actually don...

Re: Hullo from the "there be dragons here" area of MA
Yes, they tried to give us a hard time about utilities but myself being a home inspector and the fact that I have a Realtor that knows his stuff and goes the extra mile. We got them to agree to turn on the electric and water but we did have to sign a waiver that stated they are not responsible for ...

Re: Blogging for $$$???
I've run pro sites back in the late 90s/early aughts. I don't know what sort of backend you have set up for your blog. Depending on that, there should be a breakdown of how many of those hits are bots versus more likely to be humans. It should also show length of visits, which pages, et al. This off...

Re: Where to put a 1/2 bath?
Thank you for all the responses. Having two toilets in the same room was a logical step in his mind because we often chat there even if the other isn't waiting their turn, as it were (I know some may think this odd). Since I'm more conscious of guest comfort, I first tried the "if we need retir...

Where to put a 1/2 bath?
One thing spouse has made clear is he wants a second toilet in the home. Said he doesn't even care if it's in the current bathroom, just has to have it long term. I had to point out that given the placement and size of the bathroom, a second wouldn't fit unless we took the tub out just to end that t...
