Re: who has two houses?
I have three. The one I live in, one I'm almost done with that will be sold or rented and one that will be a rental. Originally, the Cottage was not meant to be our full time house-we were going to live at the Old House and rent the Cottage (vacation rental) and stay here weekends when it wasn't re...

Re: who has two houses?
I have a second house. Very old, in need of major structural work, and a 17 hour drive from here. Its purchase is one of my greatest regrets. We were romantic, thought we could be it's saviours. Not possible from this distance. Major foundation, roof problems, and theft, and wildlife inhabitants. C...

Re: 1862 Greek Revival Farmhouse in Michigan
Does the wider bottom part of the chimney indicate there was also a fireplace? ... I'm going to stay tuned to see what lurks under the siding! The fireplace was bricked over for a gas stove...I don't know what's left if anything behind the brick, and it's another later project. There's still a cool...

Thanks, Manalto and Lily! I may have finally killed the paper wasps living on the porch last night after they went to sleep...I soaked their nest with poison and ran like heck...so I hope to install it soon!Manalto wrote:You sure did!
