Nope, just squirrels, rabbits and a very fat ground hog on occasion. The squirrels are the main culprits in the spring taking up my freshly planted bulbs and tubers. Also because we have several mature walnut trees, in the fall we get lots of little bumps in the lawn as the squirrels hide their wint...

Started clearing out the gardens for the winter. Shuffled some perennials around, thinned out the hostas, have lots of irises and lily’s to thin out as well. But that’s for another day.

James, I paint my storms and sashes the same colour. As you may know often sashes were painted a separate colour from the storms to bring emphasis to the window details say black green or highland green, the window surround painted the major trim colour. I think both methods were used equally, maybe...

Well, I have now got paint on the second storm window, just have to paint the opening now. Doing refresh work is sure easier than the restoration work do to 70 years of deferred maintenance.

James, interesting form to the trunks, do they naturally form three trunks from a base root stump or are they pruned like that?

James, no restoration required but I did have to reglue the back splat to the lower rail. Other than that they have aged well I think.
