Re: Beebe -- our 1935 Bungalow on Baker Street.

Honestly I almost didn't post most of that as it feels weird talking about the troubles and setbacks of this year because we're all going through something equally annoying/distressing/sad/etc. Maybe I should be putting that stuff in the pandemic thread... Anyhoo! Good luck with moving your mom. I ...

Re: stuck at home with Corona virus?

So, Lily, about the senior center and my mom. We have been very fortunate in that there have been only a few cases in one nursing home in town (not this one!) This is an independent living center, and we did weigh all the options. She can be totally isolated, as she will have an exterior door and a ...

Re: 1939 "Minimal Traditional" Cottage

Funny, but my house isn't yellow anymore. I repainted it, and I have a picture of it, but I can't figure out how to change the file size to make my avatar. Here it is now: 2072 Sorry to threadjack! Bonnie, I resized it for you and the border color came from the flowers. If you hate the border color...

Re: Beebe -- our 1935 Bungalow on Baker Street.

Oh, goodness, Lily, it sounds like you've had a hell of a year. I'm so sorry for your family loss. I'm retired and I watch my grandson a day or so a week. My mother had foot surgery 3 weeks ago, and can't drive, and we got word 3 days after her surgery that a unit opened up in the senior center wher...

funny piece of useless info, did you know that the moon affects the position of a plumb bob? Its only a minor amount but it does have an effect. so if people complain about things not being plumb, you can blame the moon If they complain they aren't level , blame the level. If things are cut to shor...

I would list them on FB Marketplace or Craigslist, etc., when you're ready. Your mistake could be somebody else's good fortune! You won't get all of your money back, but anything is better than nothing, right? I just sold a bunch of vintage exterior shutters that I bought used and couldn't make work...

Congratulations, Grandma! I know it's been hard not to lay hands on that sweet baby and I'm so glad you can now.

Good to see you back.

Re: Baby steps towards the future gardens of Beebe

I so envy folks like you and James who have the knowledge and wherewithal--not to mention the green thumb--to make your little corner beautiful. Not only do I have a black thumb, I'm also suddenly and severely allergic to poison ivy, of which a large percentage of my back yard (mostly wooded) and pa...
