It's pretty in its own right. I'd save it from target practice.

Re: Allback Linseed Oil Glazing Putty ?

Those are good tips, thanks! I hope I'm not hijacking - Here was my general process: Blopentine and oil primer on the outside face of the sashes; shellack on the rabbets and inside faces; then linseed putty, glazing, and chalk. Since both faces are protected somewhat I could have them installed now ...

Re: Allback Linseed Oil Glazing Putty ?

I bought the linseed putty from Allback this summer and just used it today. Your assessment of its properties is the same as mine - soft and sticky and doesn't stick easily to shellacked rabbets. Re: Window Shades

I was just researching the same thing. My grandma's house had green waxy cloth roller blinds and the blind fixtures are still on the windows, so I'm going to try and install something similar. I found this website, but have not yet really looked into it. m I'd be interested to hear what you end up p...

Re: My new love Sarco glazing putty

This is another product not available in my city (in Canada). I looked high and low. I can order it online, but the cost of shipping nearly doubles the cost.
I've ordered linseed putty from Allback instead.
