Because of my innate disorderliness, I've always painted ceilings with an "M" pattern, sometimes a "W" if I'm feeling adventurous. Who knew it was correct?

Years ago, a neighbor had a gloss ceiling in the kitchen. It was carefully done, so quite striking.

Here's a view of the house. It's asbestos to the second-floor sill and stucco above.
