Those blue cabinets are new The old kitchen was terrifying. Dark and dank and not updated since at least the...

Sorry for not responding sooner...I didn't get notifications on this post after the previous one. Yes, it seems to be perfectly safe for countertops :) I'm really loving it!

Gettysburg Antiques?

Hi everyone, I know a lot of you (or at least some) are in the Gettysburg area, so this is a question for you! I live 30min away from Gettysburg and have a friend from DC coming to visit and go antiquing in Gettysburg. I only know of civil-war focused antique shops in Gettysburg and the Antiques Emp...

Re: Wild Geese Stone House

So Beautiful! What's with the little cubby on the chimney in Guestroom 1? Did you keep that? Or was that just built into the wall? Ha, that was a big mystery for me. A farmer nearby told me that it's a Jelly Cupboard. She says they used to store jellies on those little shelves behind the potbelly s...

Re: Wild Geese Stone House

Whoops! Some of those are out of order, but I tried to show before/after shots. Other notes- The main house (bedrooms, dining room, kitchen) are around 1830s. The front door, living room and office are a 1950s addition. All the wood floor is original, saved from 3 layers of tiles, linoleum and new w...
