Re: A New Vexation

if that vent pipe exhausts the gas fumes when they fill the tank , and they stuck a light on top of it. maybe that is a danger? Re: A New Vexation

I suppose my only recourse is contacting Esso, who owns Mobil in Canada. Previously Esso's reply to me was that as a "branded retailer" or "branded wholesaler" that the independent owner was entirely responsible for the design, etc. of the station. This was when I contacted them ...

A New Vexation

Yesterday I noticed that the gas station had some guy up a ladder, doing something with one of the unused gigantic light posts from the former car lot, that were never removed during their renovation. He turned out to be an electrician, installing MORE lights. I spoke to him, the current gas station...

Re: Old House Dreams - where should I go live?

Re: What I did at my house today...

I second Phil's suggestion. If the doors can come off without too much hassle, you are so much better off having them conveniently positioned to work on them, plus they'll gobble up so much space you will be additionally motivated to finish them. Yeah...there’s no way I’m messing with taking them d...

Re: What I did at my house today...

The doors are looking great. The surface area on a door is surprising when it is being stripped, at least in my experience. I'm always all "lalala this will take a little over an hour" then about 6 hours later I am still not done one side. And those look like substantial doors, Corsetiere ...
