Re: Curved Sash Restoration

Thank you all and sorry for the confusion. These are curved, not arched sashes that I am inquiring about. We have a total of 10 windows that are curved, so 20 curved sashes to restore. Thankfully we only have one broken pane, so far. Phil, thank you for the link to that product. Has anyone on here u...

Curved Sash Restoration

I apologize if this has been answered already... Does anyone have a source for getting curved sashes restored? Specifically, a broken pane replaced. There's a lot of info on here on reglazing, etc, and thank you! But we have one broken pane on a curved sash and it's not a piece of glass I can go to ...

Mike, I'm sure you do! We still have our house up the hill, but this is our next project.

Photo taken last summer. Yes, the boarded up windows are from a fire. An arson, actually. I'll try uploading another picture later that shows the entire structure, including the attached carriage house.

Historic Designation

Hello all. I'm hoping you can all send some positive vibes our way. We just completed and submitted our application for a historic designation for our home. If I could figure out how to share pictures on here I would post some of the ten curved windows awaiting restoration. Now comes the wait... kee...

Re: It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Snapped this picture Christmas morning. Although not really the best photo, I love how it has that "vintage" sort of feel. I think if I convert it to b&w it would look like an image from the time the house was built. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. Thank you for all of ...

Re: Anybody here skilled at graphic design?

Yes, I'm sure you drive past the house then. I wasn't sure what the policy on pointing out where houses are... but yes, it is on the corner near the cemetery. The trim isn't super ornate, but is a great detail on the house. It's hard to tell from your photos if it was more ornate, or if it's the com...

Re: Anybody here skilled at graphic design?

Mike, first thank you for the new forums! I've attached a couple of photos that I'm hoping might help you out. I walk past this house in Barre VT everyday. They did some renovations a couple years back, but thankfully kept the gable trim. Hopefully you can see the details, including the red acorn at...

Re: Window Treatments

That's a fun one! Though I have to admit I am still struggling with the same problems with my windows. I love the trim and hate to cover it, but really appreciate the look of period appropriate hangings. What type of house do you have? And what style are you drawn to? Roller shades are always approp...
