Those are the same spammers that have gotten in here occasionally - I'm guessing that they are using actual humans (the spam is also a bit more targeted). Even the most well-run board still requires an admin that actually pays attention to it...

Looks like they did upgrade phpBB this week - my login session is being retained now. This one-time attention probably won't be enough, though - running a site requires consistent attention.

Not sure what would have caused that, Jade. The full editor is more forgiving than the quick editor (it even has a "save draft" button), or you can compose longer messages in a text editor and copy-and-paste them into the browser.

Our old house (1948) had a bedroom with a chair rail like that. One possibility is to paint different colors above and below it. I have less architectural knowledge than many here, but I'm not seeing the Victorian influences. To me, the open floorplan and banks of windows evoke the Arts & Crafts...
