new old tools
Two finds at an antique shop we stopped at today.
The wrench was only $5. I'm still floored by that. No rust! It just needs the slightest adjust to the wood handle to fit better in the metal collar which shouldn't take more than ten minutes,. It has a great heft and smooth movement.
The plane fits perfectly in my hand. The blade is in great shape, all parts working and only a slight tinge of surface rust in a spot I can easily clean away. $18, but well worth it. The one I have of that size is still the junk metal plane from my childhood "kid's tools" set. So this is a huge step up.
