EZ Bake Oven Siding Presents....
This is what happens to the paint job under the aluminum siding. Baked off in huge slabs. The paint was white down to the wood so it seems to say that these claps were put on new when the window was removed. The original color on the upper story of the house was sage green. The claps were put on in any way but the type that makes sense. I ended up replacing these with red cedar. I did have the house Tyvek covered under it all. So it appears these are the 3rd set of claps to be put on the house since it was built. Another reason why I think this is due to any part of the house that is still original had 32+ coats of paint on it and was so badly alligatored and was hell to remove... Plus the original paint color was at the bottom layer.
