The other side of the doorway
In the previous photo of the front parlour's portieres we now are on the other side of the doorway. The house flipper took doors and pocket doors from a house with higher than 9ft ceilings to recreate this here. Overall I love the doors. I didn't like the way you can see how it made it fit. The doorway was smaller and the valance covers up the header of the doorway which mades sense when you are in the front parlour with the cranberry curtains. This also gives the room a more formal look.
